It all started in the fog-drenched coastal forests of Northern California when I first stood beneath Hyperion and General Sherman. Standing in the shadow of living giants that took root during the Bronze Age fundamentally reshaped my appreciation for time, ecology, and nature's enduring quiet strength.
Since that morning, I became driven to map and preserve the memory of Earth’s most exceptional trees. From 4,800-year-old Bristlecone Pines clinging to wind-sculpted white mountains, to sacred Sri Lankan Bodhi trees planted in 288 BC, every solitary tree tells a chapter of human and geological history.
Treeary was born as an open botanical field journal and global atlas. Every record in our archive carries verified geographic coordinates, estimated population status records, historical anecdotes, and botanical notes.
